"Hey Doc, 'How do I hit straight?" You control the clubface. "Lesson Over... That'll be $200 please." If golf lessons went like doctor's visits, it would go something like that. In this age of high-tech, launch monitors universally agree on what hits the ball straight: The clubface angle at impact must point at your target. And, I'd say many golfers know that piece of the puzzle. The problem is the execution. Thinking about clubface control doesn't make the ball go straight. Hey guys, I'm thinking about clubface and the ball's still going right. What gives?! You have to know how to control the clubface, but that's where the search gets muddy. There are 1000s of tips out there on "how" to do this. Almost every one tells you to "use your hands" and "time up" your release. But if the clubface is just one-degree-off, you're missing the target. Would you bank on your hands controlling the clubface within 1 degree on every swing? I wouldn't. That's far too much complexity for me (and I think you'll agree too). Controlling micro hand movements requires considerable maintenance. Even after practicing it for hours on end, you're still left with timing. Timing isn't a viable strategy for consistent golf at any skill level. Consistency implies you can create a controlled outcome. To hit it straight on Hole 1 as well as Hole 18. Your timing changes on every swing, therefore consistency cannot be built on it. Timing and consistency are like oil and vinegar. So, in the quest for consistency, we narrow our Google search to: "How to control the clubface without using the hands and timing". But there's a problem. The Google search replies:
"Sorry, that doesn't exist. Did you mean to type 'control the clubface using the hands and timing?"
Ok, I'm partially joking here. What I mean is - you're not going to find much out there on how to control the clubface without timing. The hands are always involved. But I disagree. I don't use my hands to control the clubface. This handless action keeps the clubface square during the entire swing, and my ball flies to the target (even when I don't practice for weeks). And I'll never go back to the old ways. It's not sorcery. It's not a gimmick or clickbait. It's just me "turning off" the hands in my golf swing. One less variable to control. One less thing to think about. If this has you excited, good. You should be. I remember the first time I discovered handless clubface control. I was so used to working the club with my hands that hitting straight felt like I was doing nothing. The thing that really wowed me was the power increase. Hand action does not equal power. The more you use your hands, the more you have to compensate and slow down to make adjustments. When your clubface stays square. You don't have to adjust it. You are free to HAMMER through the ball hard. A full, powerful release of your arms, hands, and club is only possible from a handless position. Doesn't matter if you're a beginner or expert player. If you're timing your release, you're always holding something back. Stop the timing and you can give it pedal to the metal. This video is not a quick tip, it's an education for life. It's the information you need to build a handless action in your golf swing. And, know this - it's different. Of course it's different! Watch the video. Grasp the concept. Try the material at home - no range at first. You need to let the idea sink into your skin. Give it slow reps at home and watch your clubface during the swing.

Big deal - everybody knows that. Yeah, but if you're not hitting straight right now, it's because you're using your hands to control the face. Stop using your hands, go hands free, and you'll be able to hit straight and increase power. Watch the video here. |

Where’s the beef? This famous expression from a 1984 Wendy’s ad poked fun at other fast-food chains and their ever-shriveling burger sizes. Because, to a burger lover, the meat – the substance – the experience of enjoying a delicious mouth-watering bite hinges on the burger’s main event – the meat. Similarly, people who talk a lot but say little are just as un-filling as a burger without meat. Back when I was a kid, my Sicilian grandfather sat at the head of the table. Eight of us gathered...
For years my life was Golf Instructor by day. Guitarist by night. I taught golf while playing 100 shows a year as a touring musician. Some nights I had a 10PM show. Pack up at 2AM. In bed at 4. On the lesson tee at 8 the same morning. Brutal? Yes. Worth it? Completely. Playing guitar every night left no time to practice golf – so I needed a swing that produced crispy ball striking without maintenance. I still teach that simple swing to golfers all over the world. So you can enjoy life. So...
The fastest aircraft in the world... represents the human desire to push the envelope and boldly go where no man has gone before. People who push the limits often risk their lives to achieve maximum speed. In Top Gun 2, Tom Cruise destroyed his plane just because he wanted to reach Mach 10. I guess Mach 9 wasn’t “fast enough”. And, subsequently, we learned that... The fastest thing isn’t the most reliable thing. The fastest things are high maintenance because they rely on perfect timing to...
