For years my life was Golf Instructor by day. Guitarist by night. I taught golf while playing 100 shows a year as a touring musician. Some nights I had a 10PM show. Pack up at 2AM. In bed at 4. On the lesson tee at 8 the same morning. Brutal? Yes. Worth it? Completely. Playing guitar every night left no time to practice golf – so I needed a swing that produced crispy ball striking without maintenance. I still teach that simple swing to golfers all over the world. So you can enjoy life. So golf becomes true recreation – something that re-creates your soul and brings you joy. So you can pursue other hobbies and interests, while still absolutely striping it off the tee. “Life is too short to play bad golf” is the core message of SagutoGolf – and always will be. Which brings me to something I don’t usually write about. Today I released my debut music album New Beginnings - 12 instrumental blues/rock tracks, recorded in my home studio, every note played by me. It’s currently streaming on Spotify, YouTube Music, and other platforms. I’m sharing it with you because, while I’m “that golf guy on YouTube”, there’s more to the story. This album exists because the swing I teach doesn’t need me every day. If I’d spent the last 10 years grinding on the range chasing a timing-based swing, there’d be no album.
